Welcome to the Website of the Lanarkshire Cecilian Orchestra, better known locally as the LCO.
The LCO exists to provide the local community with musical entertainment, from light, popular and film music, through to symphonic works from the great composers.
The LCO is a registered charity (No. SCO22134).......

The Orchestra meets for rehearsals at St. Andrew’s Parish Church Hall, Glasgow Rd., Blantyre; at 7:15pm for 7:30pm on Thursday evenings.
It is with great shock and sadness that the Orchestra has to announce the sudden and tragic death of Mrs Marie Gardner in a fire at her home - 11 Crawford Street, Motherwell - on Thursday 8th January.
Marie was a founder member of the Orchestra and was an active and much loved member of the first violin section. Despite her advancing age she was an extremely able player and will be sorely missed - the Orchestra will not be the same without her. Marie touched many lives, including many in the Orchestra, and we were all privileged to have counted her as a friend. She was a lovely lady and saw only the good in people.
Our hearts go out to Marie’s family and our thoughts and prayers are with them all at this sad time.
